How to block ads on my Android phone/iPhone?

Since the mobile phones own huge of users, people use their phones over billions of times a day, how could businessman miss such huge traffic? Therefore, the advertisements are everywhere, whatever in the browser or in the apps. (Some of these ads can be very annoying, and in a few cases, even malicious.) They are caused by third-party apps installed on your Android phone/iPhone. Ads are a way for app developers to make money, and the more advertisements that are displayed, the more money the developer makes. This is why some of them are so persistent.

But, it is time to get rid of these pop up invaders and get your iPhone/Android phone - and peace of mind - back.

1. Block pop-up ads & malware on Android

Foreword, if you find some pop-up advertisements keep coming back, and redirects to unfamiliar pages or ads automatically, that probably means your phone had been invaded by malware or virus. Android provides a universal way to block the problematic apps.

Block problematic apps via safe mode

1. On your Android device, keep pressing and holding your device's power button for about 5 seconds, till the Power off icon appear on the screen.

2. Then, keep touching and holding the Power off icon. Your device will starts in safe mode. And you'll see "Safe mode" at the bottom of your screen.

3. One by one, uninstall the third-party problematic or suspicious apps.
Tip: To remember the apps that you remove so that you can add them back, make a list. Please do not remove the system apps.

4. After each removal, restart your device normally. See whether removing that app solved the problem.

5. After you remove the app that caused the problem, you can add back the other apps that you removed.

1. Open the safety scanner software such as Google Play Protect.

2. Scan your device for security threats.

1. Open the Chrome app.

2. Go to a webpage.

3. To the right of the address bar, tap More and then Info Information.

4. Tap Site settings.

5. Under "Permissions," tap Notifications.
If you don't see "Permissions" or "Notifications," the site doesn't have notifications turned on.

1. Enter the Safe Mode.

2. Then, go to Settings, and then swipe to and tap Apps.

A. Turn off personalized advertisements on your iPhone

1. Go to "Settings", find "Privacy" option, then find "Apple Advertising" option.

2. Turn off it.

B. Turn off the location-based ads

For those who grant the App Store or Apple News access to their device location, can turn off geographically targeted ads.

1. The location-based advertisement setting option is also placed in the "Privacy" option, go to "Privacy" option, find the "Location Services" option. Here will list all apps and news which can access to device location.

2. Either tap to turn off Location Services, or select App Store or News from the list and set Allow Location Access to Never.
